Given below are the specifications of the materials required:

1.Corn: Whole grain, tooth shaped kernel and is composed of bran,
endosperm and embryo or germ. Specification: Grade : No. 2 Colour : yellow to
yellow orange and no off color (blackish) especially on the germ portion of
the corn. Odor : fresh sweet and free from molds, free from fermented odor no
rancid odor % moisture : maximum of 12 % Impurities (corn cobs): not more
than 1.0 % Broken grains : not more than 2.0 % Aflatoxin : Negative should
satisfy all the requirement. Free from pesticide residues, insect and fungus
infestation and other contaminant, not dusty.

2 . Barley: Barley grain is spindle shape in 5 angles and possesses a broad
shallow groove on the ventral side. Specification: Color : light yellowish
brown to tarnish gray Odor : fresh and similar to that of ground grain,
no rancid or moldy odor Moisture : not more than 12 % Aflatoxin : Negative
Hulls / empty grains : not more than 2.0 % Impurities (barley stalks) : not
more than 1.0 % Protein : 11 % min. Aflatoxin :Negative Should be free
from pesticide, residues, contaminants, insects infestation, not dusty,
fair average quality.

3. Wheat Bran Wheat bran is a by product of wheat processing industry,
it should composed of the bran portion of the wheat and such quantity of
hull fragments. Specification: Moisture : 11% Crude protein : 14 % minimum
Crude fiber : 10 % Silica / Ash : 5 to 6 % maximum Odor : fresh, not moldy,
smell like the wheat grain. Fair Average Quality, free from contaminants,
no insect infestation. Colour : creamy white to light brown. Hull : not more
than 30 % of the sample.

4. Rice bran Is a by product of rice milling industry Rice bran is the pericarp or
bran layer of rice with only such quantity of hull fragments.
Specification: Moisture :11 % maximum Crude protein :12.5 to 14.5 %
Crude fibre :12 % maximum Crude fat : 6 % maximum Silica / Ash : 6 to 7 %
maximum Absence of weevil infestation, absence of rancid odor, Certificate of
fumigation from the reputable.

5. Soyabean Meal Soyabean meal is a by product after oil extraction from Soyabean
either expeller or solvent process. Specification: Odor : fresh smell, no fermented
odor or rancid odor Color : yellowish tan to light brown colour
Moisture : 11 to 12 % max. Crude protein : 48 % Crude fibre : 6.5 % max.
Crude fat : 1.5 to 5.0 % max. Urease activity : 0.10 to 0.28 ph units
Aflatoxin : Negative : < 5 ppb is the maximum allowable reading using
ELISA method. Fair Average Quality, no excessive hulls, fresh smell, absence of
insect infestation and no pesticide residue.
