Description :We are seeking a lapidary provider of carved and polished
"ring size" intaglio's (carved initials) "a" through "z "
Sizes: 12x10mm, 14x12mm, 16x12, mm 18x13mm
Shapes: Emerald (rectangular) cut and oval.
The stones would be flat lapped with the individual letter,
"a" through "z "carved (intaglio style) into the face of the
flat lapped stone and the face of the stone would be highly
polished. Each stone would have a girdle of a minimum of
2. 5mm to prevent breaking on setting.
Bezel settings that will accommodate intaglio shapes to be
used, emerald (rectangular) cut and oval bezel setting
commonly used for cabochons. Please see attached images for
shapes of gold bezels in which the intaglio's will be set.
Quantity: The stones will be for a significant marketing
project being initiated by one of our manufacturing jewelry clients.
Depending on the quality of the material, carving and final
polishing I expect that we will be able to provide our client
with hundreds of each "initial. " We will keep the client
with current inventory at all times. A minimum of 10 stones
per initial, a maximum of 20 stones per initial. If his
inventory hits the minimum amount it will automatically
refreshed with another 10 stones. As his volume of sales
increases we will increase the minimums and maximums.
Script (font type: ) all are true type fonts that can be
identified in ms word. Our initial preference is script mj bold.
We would determine what the second style will be based on what
you realistically feel your carvers can do. Most likely it will
be old English. Here, again we are open to suggestions.
