Description :Dear Ms. Sangeeta
I need your help for finding some good home textiles and terry towel
factories / units in India. I have confirmed order from Spain for white
bleached bed sheets (flat sheets) and white terry towels. This is an
institutional program and these products are meant for hotels and
hospitals.

Due to sharp rise in cotton prices in Pakistan, I find it impossible
to match the target prices. So I was wondering if it is possible to
get these products made from India and export to Spain.

I am not sure what the prices would be from India but I believe
Cotton prices are lower in India compared to Pakistan these
days.

I would like you to tell me some good woven vertical units
in India with their spinning, weaving, processing and stitching
in house. These should be medium scale units able to match
our target prices.

Please guide me which cities are your major textile hubs
so that I can come to India for price negotiation.

Can you also help me to get the attached prices for white bed
sheets (flat sheets) and terry towels? These need to be FOB
nearest port with our commission 3 % included.

The shrinkage of final sizes of flat sheets should be less than 3 %
and pilling should be no less than 4. The yarn should be ring
spun and fabric needs to be shuttle less (I don't need power
looms fabric prices).

The sizes of terry towels are final sizes after shrinkage so
factory needs to make oversize towels and when these are
shrinked the final sizes should be what is written on the chart.

These prices will give me a fair idea if my visit to India
would be worthwhile or not.

The total volume of combine (bed sheet and terry towels) is
Euro 1 million for 2008 and if 2008 goes well the total business
for 2009 will be Euro 3 million.

The total volume for 2008 can grow up to Euro 2 million as we
are expecting orders from some other customers also for the
same products. But first we need to match target prices and
ensure if we can get quality products from India.

Note:
1Flat sheet will be with 6 cm top and 1 cm bottom hem for
cotton and 6 cm top and 6 cm bottom for PC
2Pillows will be with 5 cm box and 20 cm flap.
3No hemming on sides of flat sheets. We need selvedges
4Sewing thread density at least 3-4 thread per cm
5Optical brightener will be used for all 3 constructions
6Shrinkage should be less than 3 % on all the sizes and construction
7Pilling should not be less than 4 on grey scale.
