Low heat skim milk powder used for infant formula;
requirements for quality, composition and properties
1. General description
Low heat skim milk powder (SMP LH) is used for basic milk
protein component in infant formula. It must be food grade and
made according to ADPI Extra grade from fresh pasteurized
skimmed milk by evaporating, low heat spray drying and
instantising.. Appearance is white, only slightly yellowish
free flowing powder.
Taste is typical clean, slightly sweet, milky and neutral with
no distinctive off-flavors.

3. Storage and stability
The shelf life and storage conditions, including temperature,
must be specified by the supplier.
4. Delivery
Delivered in 25kg multi-ply paper sacks with inner
polyethylene liner. Palletised on max.1000kg pallets and
protected against damage during transportation.
5. Other requirements
Certificate of conformance with analysis results per each
batch/lot should be provided with each delivery.
