Enquiry No. : 7052453 Texas (USA)
Description :We are looking for a 2 or 3 port electric to pressure solenoid,
possibly an existing 12vdc automotive electric to pressure
solenoid switch already in production. We make a very low
pressure pumping system for the HVAC market, and while
the reliability of the solenoid must be good, other features
of the solenoid are very non critical. Below are specifications
with notes, but please keep in mind that we have great
flexibility in the application.
Flow: The electric to switch should have an internal port of
1 / 8 inch or larger, or be able to flow one cubic foot of
air per minute while developing a back pressure of less
that 8 inches of water column. It is very easy for us to
test this so do not hesitate to send a sample if you are unsure.
Pressure and Maximum Pressure: Operational pressure is
about 8 inches water column, while the switch should be able
to withstand 5 PSI without bursting.
Internal leakage: Some small internal leakage can be
tolerated, as the control panel design provides constant pressure
and vacuum, and minor switch
Leakage, either internally or externally, is of little concern.
Cycle life: 500, 000 cycles is acceptable, with an ability to
sit unused for long periods of time and still operate correctly.
Voltage: While 24vac would be preferred, 12vdc as used for
automotive applications would be acceptable if it can be
rectified with a simple diode circuit to operate on 24vac.
Send samples if unclear and we can test.
Amperage: Not important as long as it does not exceed 1 / 3 amp at 24vac.
Again, we can test.
Size, weight, and mounting: Generally not important as the enclosure
will be provided to fit the switch.
Ambient operation: 0 to 130 degrees Fahrenheit.
Port configuration: A three port switch with 1 / 8 or larger
slip on barb or smooth connections for tubing is desired,
although a quantity 2, Two port switches connected per zone
of operation can be used together to provide the same function
as a single 3 port switch if the price is acceptable.
